Discussion of Nick Collison's confrontation with Jim Traber.

Any Thunder fan on Twitter knows that Nick Collison is an active Tweeter. But the gracious insight into his daily life has led to trouble with local media. Spurred by a Jenni Carlson article chronicling Collison’s tweeting, Jim Traber has accused Nick of favoritism towards Seattle–assuming that Collison is upset by the move to OKC–and called for Collison’s eviction from Oklahoma City. On August 14, Collison called into the Sports Animal to confront Traber’s accusations. While Nick conducted himself with calm and professionalism, Traber’s typical brash manner was in full force.

In this ThunderCast, we discuss hometown favoritism–is it acceptable to vocalize your preference for a city other than that in which you are employed? We also discuss what could be fueling Oklahoma City residents’ reaction towards Collison’s remarks.
